Our Breckenridge Snowmobile Rentals let you discover Colorado’s pristine backcountry wilderness at your own pace, on over 80 miles of marked, groomed trails atop Vail Pass. Set out on signed snowmobile trails or blaze your own through countless open bowls and meadows along the Continental Divide.  

With over 55,000 acres of terrain to explore, the Vail Pass Winter Recreation Area offers tremendous snowmobiling opportunities for experienced and non-experienced riders alike. Rentals are available in various time increments with options for both single and double riders.    

Helmets are included in the cost of all Breckenridge Snowmobile Rentals. Boots, snowsuits and goggles are available for rent on-site for a small additional charge.  

Guests may choose from 2 hours, 4 hours or 8 hours of riding time aboard a fleet of modern Ski-Doo machines. Rider check-in is requested 30 minutes prior to scheduled snowmobile rental times.

Additional Information:  

  • Guests must provide their own transportation to the snowmobile base camp. 4-wheel-drive or all-wheel drive is recommended and frequently required by Colorado State Law during times of frequent or heavy snowfall. These trips operate in all conditions and are not canceled due to snow. Please plan accordingly.
  • Peak Season dates include: 11/20/23 – 11/26/23, 12/21/23 – 1/7/24, 1/12/24 –1/14/24, 2/12/24 – 2/19/24 and 3/1/24 – 3/31/24. Please note that 8-hour rentals are not offered during peak times.
  • Helmets are included in the cost of all snowmobile rentals. Trail maps are provided.  
  • Breckenridge Snowmobile Rental prices do not include a National Forest Service user fees of $20.00 per person.
  • Drivers must be 16 years of age with a valid driver's license in order to operate a snowmobile. Drivers must be 18 years of age in order to carry a passenger.
  • A credit card imprint, serving as a damage deposit, is required on all Breckenridge Snowmobiling Rentals. 
  • A signed liability waiver for personal injury is required prior to Snowmobile Rental departure.
  • Please note that all Breckenridge Snowmobile Rentals have a 24 hour cancellation policy.
