Breckenridge Mardi Gras Festival - February 9th-12th, 2013
Celebrate Mardi Gras Breckenridge-style at 9,600 feet! With a parade procession, bar series, live music, Cajun cuisine and beads galore, Breckenridge, Colorado’s Mardi Gras celebration is only secondary to that of New Orleans.
The Bacchus Ball, a New Orleans style masquerade ball, kicks off the festivities at Beaver Run Resort on February 9th at 6:00pm. The event features live music and dancing along with New Orleans food and drinks, beads and much more. Call 970.453.5055 to purchase your tickets. This is a 21 year old and over event.
Celebrate Fat Tuesday on February 12th at 11:00am in the Blue River Plaza while you enjoy the flavors of New Orleans at the Taste of Nawlins Picnic in the Plaza, catered by Harvest Catering.
The four day party culminates on February st with the crowning of the Rex and Queen. Upon their coronation, the royal pair are paraded down Breckenridge’s historic Main Street as the centerpiece of the Mardi Gras Procession, beginning at 4:30pm on North Main Street.
